LEAGUE STARTS THE NEW YEAR WITH A BANG! |
Tuesday, January 5, 2010
Dear Member-Partners and Friends,
I begin the New Year on a high note with more good news. I have the great pleasure of announcing that we have signed two more high-profile tenants for properties in the League portfolio.
First, we are pleased to welcome SportChek, a national sporting goods retailer, to Duncan Mall in Duncan, BC. With an opening date scheduled for mid-August, the 20,000-sq.ft. store will be moving into an extensively renovated space.
Second, gourmet hamburger fans in Vernon, BC, will have their fondest wishes answered with the signing of a lease for a new 5,500-sq.ft. Red Robin restaurant at the North Vernon Mall. Construction will begin in the spring with opening expected in early 2011. Both Duncan Mall and North Vernon Mall are held by limited partnerships administered by League on behalf of its Member-Partners.
Along with everyone on the League team, I look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with both SportChek and Red Robin and see this as a promising start to what we all hope will be a great year.
Once again, let me extend my gratitude to our leasing and development staff, as well as many others in the League team. Without them, this good news would not have been possible.
Warmest regards,
