League Appoints In-House Counsel

Monday, September 29, 2008

Greetings Member-Partners,

I am pleased to be writing to you today with some important news about additions to League's executive team. Over the past few months we have been recruiting executive talent to support the rapid expansion of our activities, many of which you have already heard about and some new ones you will hear about in the coming months.

Over the next few weeks, Adam and I will be introducing you to some of the remarkable people we've had the good fortune to attract as we seek to improve service to our members and the effectiveness of League's operations. Here is the first such appointment.

Graham Bruce Carrothers, General Counsel

Graham Carrothers is a seasoned corporate finance and legal counsel. He has had 15 years involvement in a wide range of complex transactions with both public and private companies in many different industries and jurisdictions.

He has a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of British Columbia, a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University, and he completed the Canadian Securities Course in 1997.

He brings to League expertise in securities and corporate/commercial law, valuable insight into strategic decision-making, and extensive experience in securities compliance, continuous disclosure obligations and other corporate legal requirements.

As League's General Counsel, in conjunction with external counsel, he will be responsible for planning and directing all aspects of League's legal affairs. His initial focus will be to prepare the disclosure documents pertaining to League's various entities to ensure timely disclosure to our Member-Partners.

Prior to joining League, Graham was Corporate Counsel and Secretary for the Victoria firm Vecima Networks (formerly VCom) for two years. Before that he was In-House Counsel and Corporate Finance Analyst with Global Securities of Vancouver. After being called to the BC Bar in 1994, he joined the law firm Lando & Company in Vancouver.

League is proud to have Graham Carrothers join our in-house legal team in fulfillment of the fifth tenet of Our Credo, which reads in part:

"We will vigorously defend our concerns on behalf of all those who depend on us, and when doing so, we will retain the best-qualified professional counsel and legal representation required to guarantee a just result."

I look forward to introducing you to other new members of League's executive team in the very near future.

With warm regards,

Emanuel.

THE LAW OF ORGANIZED EFFORT:
When two or more people ally themselves, in a spirit of perfect harmony,
for the purpose of attaining a definite chief end,
if that alliance is faithfully observed by all whom it is composed,
the alliance brings, to each of them,
power that is superhuman and seemingly irresistible in nature.
