YOUR TAX SLIPS ARE COMING!

Dear Member-Partners,

Tax season is here again and some of you may have questions surrounding what tax slips you can expect to receive for the 2010 tax year and when you may expect to receive them.

Here is some general information that may be helpful:

You should expect to receive a T5 – Statement of Investment Income if you have received interest (rather than Distribution) payments. If this is the case, your T5 will be mailed to you by February 28, 2011.

You’ll only receive a T3 – Statement of Trust Income Allocations and Designations if you were a non-registered IGW REIT investor in 2010. The T3s will be sent to by no later than March 31, 2011. Owing to the length of time needed to prepare the T3 with the information from the REIT’s completed financial statements, you can submit a tax return without a T3, but you’ll also need to complete a T1 Adjustment if you do so.

You’ll only receive a T5013 – Statement of Partnership Income if you’ve invested in our Limited Partnerships. The T5013s will be sent out by March 31, 2011.

Olympia Trust issue official receipts for RSP contributions made during the first 60 days of 2011 in the second week of March 2011. It will issue official receipts for the RSP contributions made during the balance of 2010 in the second week of January 2011.

Olympia Trust will also issue T4RIFs and T4RSPs for RIF and RSP withdrawals on February 28, 2011.

The table below lists the tax receipts and the dates when they will be sent out. Please note that you will only receive the tax slips specific to your investments.
